Ron Vande Weerd has 32 years of experience in law enforcement retiring as a lieutenant from the Mason City Police Department in northern Iowa. He has a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice from Minnesota State University and a master’s degree from the University of South Dakota. He is currently an instructor of criminal justice for North Iowa Area Community College.
