GearClip lets you ditch your wire hangers forever

This will allow you to ditch the wire hanger forever

At Police1, we’re huge fans of simple gadgets that make cops’ lives easier. It’s often the smallest gizmos that make the biggest difference.

The GearClip falls well within this category.

GearClip was designed by Chris Inglehart, a California cop with 13 years on the force.

Inglehart says that he, like most of the officers he works with, has spent the majority of his career hanging his duty belt and other gear on a cheap wire hanger in his locker. Eventually, the hanger would get bent out of shape and lose its effectiveness.

His invention allows you to ditch the wire hanger forever. Hook your GearClip onto the louvered vents of your locker and you’ve got immediate storage for your duty belt, dress belt, keepers, keys and uniforms.

I know what you’re thinking: Drew, this is a hook. Why should we pay for a simple hook?

Because GearClip is not just a hook. It’s a belt holder that comes in different styles -- one that works with your Sam Browne style belt, and one that works with the plastic buckle on your nylon web belt.

So, it’s more like a superhook, allowing you to hang your duty belt on the inside of the locker and your uniform on the outside, on the side of the hook that fits through the louvered vent.

The GearClip is made entirely in the USA and costs a measly $12.95. It’s a small price to pay for a freedom from wire hangers.
