NEW YORK, N.Y. — Hay! Where you going??

A pair of NYPD horses bolted from their handlers Thursday and went on a winter afternoon gallop through Brooklyn — shocking motorists who shared videos of the bizarre scene on social media.

The two Mounted Unit officers, a sergeant and an officer, were guiding their horses toward Quentin Road and E. 8th St. in Midwood around 12 p.m. when the officer suffered a minor medical episode, officials said.

Both cops got off their horses and called for an ambulance, which spooked the horses as the truck approached, cops said.

Videos posted on social media shows the horses clip-clopping down the street.

“Umm ... do they know they’re going in the wrong lane?” one motorist wrote on Twitter as the horses moved into oncoming traffic.

Another video from the scene shows one of the two officers chasing after the horses, a few lengths behind.

“Boy that cop ain’t catching those horses on foot,” Twitter user Sir Goldie Lightfoot wrote.

Members of the NYPD’s Emergency Services Unit helped corral the horses several blocks away within 10 minutes. They were put in the back of an NYPD horse carrier and returned to the stables, officials said.

The horses weren’t injured, cops said.

The two officers were taken to NYU Langone Hospital — Brooklyn to be evaluated. One of the horses stepped on the sergeant’s foot as he ran off, officials said.
