MIAMI, Fla. — A FedEx worker in Florida is going viral after a doorbell camera video captured him confronting an alleged porch pirate.
A Ring video shared on Instagram by ONLY in DADE on Sept. 20 captures a FedEx worker approaching the front door of a home in Hialeah when an unidentified man suddenly approaches him from behind.
“Who are you?” the FedEx worker asked the man.
As the man gets closer, the FedEx worker shakes a finger in his face and says, “No, no, I don’t know you, I’m going to call the police.”
The FedEx worker then takes out his phone and records the man.
The homeowner can then be heard on the Ring camera asking, “What’s going on?”
The FedEx worker can then be heard saying, “I got you, I got you,” while recording with his phone as the man drives off. The FedEx worker then rushes back to the front door to inform the homeowner of what occurred.
In a statement, FedEx told CBS Miami that customers should immediately contact local law enforcement if they believe a package may have been stolen.
