Halloween is more than just a night of costumes and candy — it’s also a time when first responders get a chance to connect with their communities in a fun and festive way. From spooky safety reminders to humorous costume posts, police, fire and EMS departments across the country have taken to social media to share the Halloween spirit.

Cobb County Police Department, Ga.

To celebrate a baby boom among more than 30 officers, the Cobb County Police Department gathered a group of these officers and their little ones, all dressed in costumes to mark the spooky season.
