This week, we spotlight one of the winning photos from the COPS Office’s annual Community Policing in Action Photo Contest. This initiative celebrates law enforcement agencies fostering positive community interactions through powerful imagery.
The 2025 contest drew over 110 submissions from state, local, territorial, and tribal law enforcement agencies, each capturing unique moments of community policing in action. After a rigorous selection process, the following agencies were recognized as this year’s winners:

- Broward County (Florida) Sheriff’s Office
- Chattahoochee County School District (Georgia) Police Department
- Euclid (Ohio) Police Department

- Lansing (Michigan) Police Department
- Lower Merion Township (Pennsylvania) Police Department
- Newport News (Virginia) Sheriff’s Office
- Overland Park (Kansas) Police Department
- Spokane (Washington) Police Department
