Watch for this digital vaporizer drug paraphernalia

This may be old news to some of you, but it was new to me. I recently got a note from an officer friend of mine who had charged a juvenile with this drug paraphernalia (photo below). The cop involved knew it was trouble, but had to have the subject educate him on what it was.

The company that makes it is called “ONE” and it is a digital vaporizer. It is a heater that does not expose the marijuana to open flame, so there is apparently little smoke as it heats the marijuana more-so than burning it. There is also an internal fan, which pushes the THC filled air out the tube and into a plastic bag designed to go over the end of the tube.

You can see in the photos that only one of the bags is used by the tar-like residue at the end of the bag by the fitting. The kid had tossed the metal bowl and screen as well as the plastic tray they sit in. At first all I saw was the digital vaporizer and bags and didn’t think much of it. Luckily I had seen him toss the items and when I went to retrieve them, noticed they all fit together.

This is just for info in case you come across it in a search — it doesn’t really look like paraphernalia.
