BOSTON — “A Body In The Snow: The Trial of Karen Read” is an exclusive behind-the-scenes docuseries about the controversial Massachusetts trial that has divided a town. All five episodes are available to stream now.
The five-episode docuseries premiered on Monday, March 17. Those who missed it can stream it anytime on Investigation Discovery by using Philo or DirecTV Stream, each offering a free trial to new users. Sling and MAX are other options for streaming the show, and promotional offers are available.
The docuseries tells the story of Karen Read, who is on trial for the murder of her boyfriend, Boston police officer John O’Keefe. Read maintains her innocence and argues she’s the victim of a police cover-up.
Read, who was indicted on charges including second-degree murder, says there was “zero chance” what happened to O’Keefe on Jan. 29, 2022 , was an accident.
The docuseries is possibly the most complete look at Read’s life and perspective on what happened between her first arrest in February 2022 and the end of her first trial in July 2024 .
Prosecutors say Read, 45, intentionally hit O’Keefe with her car outside the Canton home following a night of drinking amid turmoil in their relationship. Read believes he was beaten up inside the Canton home of a fellow Boston Police officer and his body was planted in the snow outside.
