FRISCO, Texas — Police1.com has launched the inaugural “Got Your Six” list, a program recognizing individuals who have made exceptional contributions to supporting law enforcement.
The 25 honorees, announced today on National Law Enforcement Appreciation Day, include a diverse group of public figures, philanthropists, business leaders and legislators. From advancing officer wellness to funding critical equipment and advocating for public safety, these individuals have demonstrated unwavering commitment to the men and women who serve in law enforcement.
The phrase “Got Your Six,” rooted in military jargon meaning “I’ve got your back,” underscores the mission of this list: to spotlight those who stand behind law enforcement officers and help them succeed in their mission to protect their communities.
This year’s “Got Your Six” list honorees include:
- Howard Buffett: Philanthropist and former Macon County (Ill.) Sheriff, Buffett has supported law enforcement nationwide through his foundation, providing millions for equipment, training and infrastructure.
- Robert Coogan: Owner of R.E. Coogan Heating Inc., Coogan launched “RI Back the Blue” in 2020, a grassroots initiative showing statewide support for law enforcement in Rhode Island.
- Mark Cuban: Entrepreneur and Dallas Mavericks owner, Cuban donated $1 million to Dallas PD’s counterterrorism efforts and backed platforms improving off-duty police assignments.
- Joe De Sena: Founder of Spartan Race, De Sena has partnered with police departments to host events that foster community engagement and improve officers’ physical fitness.
- Jamie Dimon: CEO of JPMorgan Chase, Dimon has supported law enforcement through a $4.6M donation to the NYPD for tech upgrades and $25M to combat human trafficking.
- Rep. Josh Gottheimer: As co-chair of the Law Enforcement Caucus, Rep. Gottheimer championed the $200M Invest to Protect Act, supporting small police departments with resources for safety, training and mental health.
- Ken Griffin: Founder of Citadel, Griffin donated $35M to public safety efforts, funding data-driven policing, officer training and leadership programs that reduced violent crime and fostered collaboration.
