Anyone can experience symptoms of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, but there is a high concentration of people diagnosed from stressful career fields, including law enforcement and firefighting.
It’s not always easy to know if the symptoms you’re experiencing are part of PTSD, or another mental health issue, since there are specific criteria that need to be met in order to receive an official PTSD diagnosis.
We partnered with Dr. Elizabeth Halper, a licensed clinical psychologist in Virginia, to create a PTSD screening quiz that will help participants understand their symptoms and if they could potentially qualify for a PTSD diagnosis.
Dr. Halper has screened hundreds of military veterans, and first responders and has served as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the Department of Defense.
