DOVER, Del. — Following the viral success of Cpl. Jeff Davis lip-syncing and bopping along to Taylor Swift’s “Shake it Off,” the Dover Police Department has released another video of officers singing in a squad car. This time, though, Davis brought a friend.
Accompanying him in the passenger seat is Cpl. Demetrius Stevenson, the resource officer at Dover High School. The two of them, featured in a staged video, are driving around in a squad car bopping and singing along to excerpts of a medley of pop songs.
Like the first video, this video was planned to be a lip-syncing video, said Dover police spokesman Cpl. Mark Hoffman. But while reviewing the footage, it dawned on the officers that the raw experience of two officers singing, talking and sometimes forgetting the words was simply funnier.
