WASHINGTON, D.C. — The National Law Enforcement Museum’s acclaimed short documentary, “Service and Sacrifice,” is slated for a global release on digital streaming platforms starting May 10, 2024. The film offers a unique glimpse into the lives of various police officers across the United States.
Previously available exclusively to visitors of the museum, located in Washington, D.C., “Service and Sacrifice” explores the personal and professional lives of a diverse group of law enforcement officers. The documentary delves into the motivations behind their career choices, the challenges they encounter, and the impact of their work on their families and loved ones.
Highlighting the human aspects of law enforcement, the film portrays officers as individuals with families, fears and aspirations, yet distinguishes them as exceptional people committed to improving community safety and welfare.
“‘Service and Sacrifice’ puts into perspective every aspect of law enforcement, underscoring the sacrifices these individuals make daily, while also exhibiting the human side of the job, being a good steward for the people and communities they serve and inspiring others to see the good that they do in the world,” said Bill Alexander, CEO of the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund. “We are honored to showcase our film to a wider audience through the different digital platforms being offered to provide the viewer a broader understanding of everything that a police officer manages daily.”
Viewers can watch the documentary on several major streaming services, including Prime Video, Google Play, YouTube and Tubi, among others.
