NEW YORK — A New York State Police officer has died from cancer he developed as a result of working at Ground Zero after the 9/11 terror attacks, according to the Officer Down Memorial Page.
Technical Sergeant Christopher Philip Rock, 59, aided in search and recovery efforts after the attacks. He died from cancer on December 3, 2023.
Rock had served with New York State Police for 26 years, according to the page. He is survived by his wife, mother, brother, nieces and nephews.
