ARDMORE, Okla. A federal agent who was injured in a shooting Thursday in Ardmore was treated and released from the hospital, authorities said Friday.

The agent, whose name was not released, was a task force officer with the federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, said ATF spokesman Russ Morrison. He was taken to Mercy Hospital Ardmore.

The officer was one of two ATF agents injured in the shooting. The other agent was treated at the scene.

Ardmore police shot and killed the suspect, Henry Jackson, in a shoot-out about 9:30 p.m.

Jackson was wanted in two other shootings, one Wednesday night and another on Thursday afternoon. Police said none of the victims in those shootings had injuries that were life- threatening.

Ardmore Police Chief Ken Grace called all staff to duty and coordinated a massive search for Jackson after his first shoot-out with police. They found him about three hours later at the corner of H Street NE and Martin Luther King Drive, where he again opened fire on officers.

The officers returned fire and killed Jackson, police said.
