LAS VEGAS — An officer was shot and a suspect arrested in what authorities are calling an “ambush-style” attack Sunday.
According to KTNV, the suspect approached a squad car that was leaving the scene of a disturbance call and opened fire at the two officers inside.
At least three shots were fired. The wounded officer was struck in the hand.

A foot pursuit resulted in the arrest of the suspect. No shots were fired by police, and the suspect reportedly surrendered without further incident, according to the Las Vegas Review-Journal.
The injured officer is currently at a hospital undergoing treatment, and is expected to survive.
