AUSTIN, Texas — Newly released body camera and surveillance footage shows a man pointing a handgun at multiple officers and bystanders before he was fatally shot, the Austin-American Statesman reported.
The December incident began when Trei Michael Adriec Hernandez was told he could not enter a bar because he was carrying a weapon, according to the report. A bar employee can be heard in the video telling officers Hernandez has a gun.

When the officers approached Hernandez, he pulled out the weapon. As an officer reached to take the weapon from him, he pulled away and pointed the gun at officers and bystanders, according to the report.
Detective Christopher Bell, Officer Thomas Childress and Officer Bradley Smith each fired shots at Hernandez, striking him, the Austin Police Department told the Statesman. Hernandez returned fire before collapsing.
Hernandez died at the scene, according to the report. Three other people were injured in the shooting. It is unclear whether they were shot by officers or by Hernandez.
