SEATTLE — Seattle’s self-proclaimed superhero Phoenix Jones was frustrated with police after he tailed a man accused of punching a bartender until officers arrived and the cops reportedly let the suspect go.

Jones was patrolling a neighborhood with his fellow “superheroes” when he approached a man who allegedly punched a bartender who refused to serve him because of his fake ID, according to Seattlepi.com.

According to Jones, police arrived 22 minutes after his initial 911 call and instructed him to retrieve the victim in the case. Jones ran back to the bar where the alleged assault happened and brought the bartender to the officer.

“Unless you are the victim of a crime, you are not allowed to corner somebody, hold somebody, you cannot do that,” the officer on the scene tells Jones.

The officer took a statement from the victim, who admitted he wanted to press charges.
