DUNEDIN, Fla. — A man was arrested after he drove onto a road and collided with a deputy’s cruiser, the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office said.
The deputy was driving down a street when a driver, identified as Edward Parsons, 70, pulled out directly in front of the cruiser. The deputy was unable to stop in time and the two vehicles collided.
The deputy sustained minor injuries and Parsons sustained non-life-threatening injuries.
Parsons was arrested and charged with DUI involving property damage. He was released on bond shortly after, booking records show.
