FAIRFIELD, Calif. — When a DUI arrest threatened to derail Mother’s Day this weekend, a team of California police officers stepped up.
The fragrant fiasco began Sunday when officers responded to a crash involving a flower delivery driver, according to ABC 7. The officers then realized two things: one, the driver appeared to be under the influence; and two, there were plenty of bouquets that still needed delivering.
After arresting the driver for DUI, the officers decided to finish the job.
“Hopefully we get the flowers to their destinations on time,” Fairfield Police said on Twitter.
