SEMINOLE, Okla. — Corporal Anthony Louie was on duty last week when he received a call about a house fire. It was his own home.
Louie sprang into action and ran through the flames that had engulfed his front porch, the Seminole Fraternal Order of Police said in a Facebook post. Louie successfully rescued his two children, ages 7 and 14.
The agency said Louie suffered smoke inhalation and serious burns, but his family was unharmed. Louie’s wife told the Washington Post that her husband could be released on Tuesday.
The Fraternal Order has been taking donations for the family and says the support “has been amazing.”
