ALLIANCE, Ohio — A team of Ohio police officers saved a woman from drowning Sunday evening after her car crashed into a river.
The Alliance Police Department posted bodycam video of the dramatic rescue on Facebook. The video shows officers wading through chest-deep water towards the car.
They can’t open the doors of the vehicle, which is now submerged up to its windows. One officer uses an axe to smash a window and pulls the woman to safety.
The agency identified the rescuers as Officers Tussey, Tallman, Amabeli and McCord.
