PHOENIX, Ariz. — A pair of Phoenix police officers went above and beyond the call of duty to help a senior citizen in need.
According to the Phoenix Police Department, officers were responding to a call from a concerned citizen about an elderly man who was sitting in his car in the scorching heat.
Officers Phillips and Rosario arrived and offered to drive the man home.
“Well, but I have groceries,” the man said.
“We can take those too,” an officer responds. “I’ll grab your groceries for you.”
Later, the officers are seen helping the man inside and putting away his groceries.
“Thank you very much, sir,” the man said.
