MONROVIA, Calif. — Over the past 25 years, thousands of law enforcement agencies across the United States have answered the call to Conquer Kids’ Cancer with the St. Baldrick’s Foundation, the largest charity funder of childhood cancer research grants.

Since the first event of its kind, officers have hosted more than 800 St. Baldrick’s head-shaving events, shaved more than 16,000 heads, raising over $7M to support the most promising childhood cancer research.

Through the help of law enforcement, St. Baldrick’s has helped fund the next generation of researchers, open high-impact clinical trials, and aided in the discoveries and new innovative treatment for childhood cancers. Not only has their heroic generosity helped St. Baldrick’s funding play a major role in almost every recent advancement in childhood cancer research, it’s also given these police officers a fun and impactful way to help even more people.

As the new year begins, police departments across the country are gearing up to host their annual head-shaving events to fund life-saving research and celebrate St. Baldrick’s 25th year.
