Video: Utah officer pulls ‘feline unit’ prank during traffic stop

The viral video captured an officer’s April Fools prank on unsuspecting civilians

SALINA, Utah — Salina police posted a video of an officer tricking a car full of people during a traffic stop on April Fools’ Day, according to their Facebook page.

The officer stopped a vehicle going 11 miles over the speed limit and had his “feline unit” named Froo Froo assist in a drug search of the vehicle.

“My feline is certified to indicate at the odor of marijuana, cocaine, heroin and methamphetamine,” the officer can be heard saying in the video.

After circling the car , the officer couldn’t contain his laughter and let the confused passengers in on the joke.

The video had more than 3 million views, 39,000 reactions and 50,000 shares on Facebook.

“My sweet cat Froo Froo was not injured during this incident,” the department wrote. “Smile people.”
