Public safety agencies like law enforcement are working hard to improve the timely delivery of emergency services to allow dispatchers and first responders to make decisions with greater focus, certainty and speed. To do so, they’re adopting a growing array of advanced technology integrating voice, video and data feeds. At the same time, cyber threats to public safety are increasing in scope, scale and complexity, while agencies are challenged by a lack of cybersecurity resources required to mitigate risk and ensure continuity of no-fail public safety operations. Hear this panel of agency leaders discuss their cybersecurity challenges and opportunities, including the need for closer collaboration and resource allocation at the federal, state, and local levels, as well as public-private operational collaboration.

You will learn:

  • The most likely/most dangerous threats to public safety cybersecurity, as observed by the Public Safety Threat Alliance (PSTA) in 2023.
  • Best practices, challenges and resource requirements to meet these threats, as shared by public safety leaders from local government and law enforcement.
  • Opportunities for public-private operational collaboration — including information sharing — to improve the public safety community’s cybersecurity posture, defense and resilience against ever-evolving cyber threats.
