PRESS RELEASE

ATLANTA — Magnet Forensics, a global leader in digital investigation solutions, today announced it has begun the process to authorize their solutions with the Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program (FedRAMP), in partnership with renowned cybersecurity advisor Coalfire. Upon receiving this authorization, Magnet Forensics solutions, Magnet One and Magnet Review, will be able to process unclassified federal information—a hugely beneficial designation for those performing digital investigations in the federal space. This will allow labs to streamline their investigations with real-time collaboration throughout the whole process of their case work.

As an industry pioneer, Magnet Forensics has continually led the way in developing cutting-edge digital investigation solutions trusted by national security agencies, law enforcement, and enterprises worldwide. Collaborating with Coalfire, a leader in FedRAMP authorizations, will enable Magnet Forensics to deliver secure, cloud-based solutions that meet stringent federal cybersecurity standards.

“The pursuit of FedRAMP authorization marks a significant milestone, enabling Magnet Forensics to provide federal agencies with secure and compliant solutions,” said Adam Belsher, CEO of Magnet Forensics. “This investment in compliance demonstrates our commitment to addressing the unique needs of the federal market and further solidifies our leading position in digital forensics and cybersecurity.”

By offering products in a FedRAMP-authorized environment, Magnet Forensics is demonstrating to customers that their solutions are built with a security-first design. Products reviewed and vetted by federal agencies ensure that vital investigative data is always secure. The rigorous FedRAMP authorization process, which includes ongoing monitoring to sustain compliance with security standards, ensures that federal agencies can fully depend on Magnet Forensics solutions and their SaaS-based offerings.

“We’re thrilled to collaborate with Magnet Forensics on their FedRAMP Authorization journey,” said James Masella, Vice President of Compliance Advisory at Coalfire. “Their cutting-edge solutions are essential for those conducting digital investigations in the federal sector. At Coalfire, we’re committed to supporting them every step of the way, ensuring a smooth path to compliance and enabling the pursuit of justice without obstacles.”

At the core of this authorization is Magnet One, a revolutionary platform that provides federal agencies with an investigative edge. As the demand for digital evidence continues to rise, investigative teams are being asked to work faster, with fewer resources. Magnet One enables forensic teams, agents, analysts, prosecutors, and agency leadership to seamlessly work together to leverage all of their digital evidence for stronger cases with greater impact. Plus, with the inclusion of Magnet Review, non-technical team members can easily view digital evidence details and seamlessly collaborate with other stakeholders to help move investigations along quickly and effectively.

Expanding their footprint in the Washington Metropolitan area, Magnet Forensics has also unveiled a newly expanded, state-of-the-art facility in Tysons Corner, VA, serving as a major training hub and an optimal location for their federal operations. The facility hosts consistently sold-out training classes, including many for federal customers. This will further enhance support and collaboration with government clients and enable Magnet Forensics to provide rapid response and tailored solutions to key federal agencies and partners.

In addition, Magnet Forensics was proud to recently name Larry Silver as Vice President of Federal Sales, providing over 25 years of federal sales leadership experience, to lead federal market growth for Magnet Forensics. “I am honored to join Magnet Forensics at this pivotal time,” said Silver. “I look forward to bringing my experience leading cybersecurity firms and federal sales initiatives to the company, building strong partnerships with federal agencies, and supporting their critical missions with our industry-leading technology.”
