NEW ORLEANS — The New Orleans Saints will promote NOPD recruiting efforts at home games for the rest of December, according to a Saints news release.
The police department will have recruiting tables set up at the Caesars Superdome during home games on December 3, 10 and 17.
The Saints organization will also be highlighting an NOPD officer before each of the games. Captain Ernest Demma, a 54-year veteran of the department, was honored during the Dec. 3 game against the Detroit Lions.
“Captain Demma is an excellent example of what it means to be committed to serve,” the release states.
The move comes after Governor-elect Jeff Landry stated his goal was to crack down on New Orleans crime before the city hosts the 2025 Superbowl, AP reported.
