An air unit later spotted the suspect riding a bicycle on a freeway, according to the report. LAPD patrol units conducted a traffic break and followed the suspect as he rode across multiple lanes.
The suspect exited the freeway at an off-ramp and continued riding through traffic, video shows. An officer in a police SUV eventually performed a low-speed maneuver, causing the suspect to lose control of the bicycle and fall.
The suspect was detained without further incident, according to the report. A small-caliber firearm was found during his arrest. He complained of knee pain and was treated at a hospital before being booked for attempted murder.
