Watch: Suspect rams Ariz. police station gate twice, tracked down by real time crime center

The Glendale Police Department used real-time technology to track the suspect following a second vehicle assault on the department’s secured entrance

GLENDALE, Ariz. — A man is facing charges after police say he deliberately rammed his truck into a Glendale Police Department gate — twice — in separate incidents just weeks apart.

Officers arrested the 35-year-old suspect outside a local Applebee’s following the second crash, News Nation reports. Bodycam footage released by the department shows officers, along with a K-9 officer, approach the suspect crouched at the restaurant’s entrance.

The first incident happened on Feb. 28. Surveillance video from the police station shows a truck pulling up to the closed gate, reversing, then slamming into it. On March 20, the same truck returned, this time driving directly into the gate.

By giving officers real-time access to video, RTCCs are turning in-progress calls into solved cases and helping agencies close investigations faster and more safely

Police say that’s when the department’s real time crime center stepped in.

“During the most recent incident on March 20, 2025, the real time crime center (RTCC) really shined as [officers] were able to locate and keep up with [the suspect] as he recklessly drove through our city. His actions put the lives and well-being of many people on the roadway in great danger,” the department stated in a Facebook post.
