ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. — An Atlantic City police officer helped rescue a teenager, three dogs and a cat from a smoke-filled home in Atlantic City during Memorial Day weekend.

Officer Riley Flynn’s body-worn camera shows him arriving at the home on the 800 block of north Maryland Avenue just before 1 a.m. on May 26 while on patrol.

Flynn immediately noticed smoke and saw a person hanging from a second-floor window. He kicked in the front door and went inside.

On the second floor, he found a 17-year-old girl at the window and guided her out of the home. Flynn then went back in and searched the home until he found the dogs and cat. He rescued all four family pets, getting some help from another man.
