MARSHFIELD, Wis. — Body cam footage captured police using bean bags and a K-9 on a man walking towards officers while holding two knives.
On Friday, Marshfield police responded to a call about a knife-wielding man threatening social workers and telling to them to leave his home, WSAW reported. Officers arrived at the scene and encountered the man, identified as Patrick Langreck.
Police ordered Langreck, who was armed with two knives, to drop his weapons, but he didn’t comply, according to the Wausau Pilot & Review. Officers then used bean bag rounds and a K-9 to subdue the suspect and take him into custody.

Marshfield Police Lieutenant Jody Geurink said the officers’ quick-thinking helped everyone come away from the scene safely.
“This is another case where we responded appropriately, and it is nice to have the commendations and the support,” Geurick said. “Our officer safety is always paramount. This is just a situation that worked out for the best for us and also this individual.”
Langreck faces four counts of recklessly endangering safety.
