LUZERNE COUNTY, Pa. — Photos shared by a Pennsylvania fire department show the mangled remains of two state troopers’ police cruiser, which was almost completely crushed when a semi hit the officers’ vehicle as they were on scene of a different crash.
According to Your Erie News, the troopers were in a marked patrol car assisting with the aftermath of a different collision just before the semi slammed into their vehicle while they were inside.
Both troopers were transported to a hospital to be treated for non-life-threatening injuries, according to Pennsylvania State Trooper Anthony Petroski.
An investigation remains ongoing to determine what led up to the crash.
