Dr. Rachelle Zemlok is a licensed clinical psychologist in California, specializing in work with first responder families. Zemlok founded First Responder Family Psychology, which provides culturally competent therapy to first responders and their family members, Zemlok, who is married to a firefighter, authored “The Firefighter Family Academy: A Guide to Educate & Prepare Spouses for the Career Ahead.”

Dr. Derrick Edwards is a Tennessee licensed professional counselor and a mental health service provider. Edwards serves as an assistant professor of psychology at Tennessee Tech University, where he operates the TTU Responder Health Lab. His research focus centers on the psychological effects of being an emergency responder. Edwards joined the fire service in 2004 and is a licensed AEMT. He is also a member of the Tennessee Federation of Fire Chaplains.

Mike Taigman uses more than four decades of experience to help EMS leaders and field personnel improve the care and service they provide to patients and their communities. Taigman is the Improvement Guide for FirstWatch, a company that provides near-real time monitoring and analysis of data along with performance improvement coaching for EMS agencies. He teaches Improvement Science in the Master’s in Healthcare Administration and Interprofessional Leadership at the University of California San Francisco and the Emergency Health Services Management Graduate Program at the University of Maryland Baltimore County.

Rebecca Lynn is the founder of Proud Police Wife, a website that connects LEO girlfriends, fiances or spouses to support each other and their police partners. Lynn is the author of “The Peacemaker’s Wife,” a journal for the partners of law enforcement officers who are seeking encouragement and support in LEO lifestyle.
